Reliability of PV Plant in Danger!Almost all available PV modules are IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 qualified! However,most PV installations still show deficits in safety and performance!Why???PV modules are normally tested as single elements and without evidence to be reliable power generators in a PV plant.Rough handling during installation,poor packing units and bad rural road condition during high speed transportation cause several deficits of modules but without any visual defects can be found on site.But the performance and safety of PV strings will be impacted after long term operation under serious weather condition.TüV SüD developed customized test programs to address this specific problems and beyond available safety and performance standards.The"transportation test"sequence aims to evaluate packing quality,basic capacity to defend module during transportation and especially evaluate the effect after simulation of climate.Besides,whole PV plant will be inspected and tested to keep security operation and point out possible defects after long term operation.
