This article focuses on building up an e-commerce business model for travel agencies in China.This article adopted the case study and in-depth interview approaches.Five cases of Ctrip,Chinasss,Eztravel,Mangocity and Byecity were analyzed from five aspects viz.customer value,users coverage,revenue sources, operational activities and core competence. By interviewing with the key persons from Ctrip,China-sss,Eztravel and research institutes,a five-basic-components E-commerce business model for travel agencies in China which includes customer value,users coverage,revenue sources,operational activities and core competence has been put forward.Other factors which influence the operations of e-commerce business model for travel agencies in China were found, they are business strategy,organization structure,management system,company culture,core competence and technology.
