Borondipyrromethenes (BODIPY) as useful fluorophores have attracted much attention over the past two decades because of their advantages, such as high excitation coefficients, high fluorescence quantum yields and high stability against light and chemical reactions.1 Among the various synthetic strategies, the tripod BODIPY fluorescent structure based on 1,3,5-triazine, presents an interesting synthetic approach considering the convenient introduction of various functional groups without the post-modification on the BODIPY core.
