Chromatographic signals overlapped in one separation and detection system can be resolved using multidimensional systems combining two or more single separation and detection systems, thus providing required selectivity and/or a high peak capacity.A complementary possibility is to include a computer algorithm into the one column system, which allows computer-assisted resolution of overlapped peaks.There are several chemometric approaches that help to deconvolute the overlapped chromatographic signals.In principle, most of them require advanced knowledge, so they are usually not used in everyday practice.In order to facilitate deconvolution and to encourage chromatographers to use this technique, an automatic program was developed [1, 2].The main idea to develop such program was to make the task of deconvolution easy for non-experienced users with little knowledge about implementing chemometrics tools.
