Heritage conservation and archaeological work usually require low-altitude high-resolution shooting or high precision mapping of a specific region,so they are an important application field and development direction of low-altitude remote sensing technology.As the working environment,working range,data type and measurement accuracy may vary with the scopes and types of heritages,different remote sensing platforms should be adopted accordingly.After years of research the author has established a relatively complete remote sensing platform sequence and has used them in a large number of heritage conservation and archaeological work.In the paper,the author will sort the major types of low-altitude remote sensing platforms,introduce the functions and properties,application range,operating characteristics and environment adaptability of each type and match them with different kinds of heritage conservation work.The paper also analyses the importance of combining different platforms in archaeological work.Heritage workers can then choose the most suitable low-altitude remote sensing platform to meet their needs.
