A biomorphic carbon material(BCM), retained it’s anatomical features, was prepared by carbonizing peanut shell through controlled heated rates. Microstructure, component, oxidation weight loss curves of BCM were performed by SEM, XRD, TGA and so on. Experimental results show that BCM is honeycomb pores. It is a typical non-graphitizable carbon, with the increasing of carbonization temperature, the (002) peak becomes stronger, the interplanar spacing increase, the structure of WSC slowly evolved toward that of ideal graphite, ecreased. The non-isothermal oxidation rate of WSC firstly increase and then decreased with the increasing of temperature, which may result from the variational quantity of activite carbon.
