Objective Pseudomonas aeruginosa is known for its intrinsic resistance to a range of antimicrobial agents. This study was to evaluate the antibiotic resistance profiles of P.aeruginosa isolated in a teaching hospital in China. Methods Disk diffusion test was used to study the antimicrobial resistance. The data were analyzed by WHONET 5 software according to Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI).Results The majority of 2410 strains of P.aeruginosa were collected from sputum 1170 (48.5%),secretions and pus 399 (16.6%),urine 375 (15.6%).Conclusion P.aeruginosa strains were frequently resistant to multiple antibiotics. The results suggest that surveillance of antimicrobial resistance in P.aeruginosa is necessary.
