　　Adipose tissue expresses components of the renin angiotensin system (RAS), including the precursor, angiotensinogen (Agt), and secretes angiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ), which exerts paracrine/autocrine lipogenic actions on adipocytes, via a receptor-mediated mechanism.Further, activation of the adipose RAS has been implicated in obesity and its metabolic complications.We dissected these interactions in mice overexpre ssing Agt in adipose tissue via the aP2 promoter, (aP2-Agt mice).
