Background:To assess the antiviral efficacy of lamivudine(LAM),entecavir(ETV),telbivudine(LDT),and lamivudine and adefovir dipivoxil(CLA) combination in previously untreated hepatitis B patients at different time points during a 52-week treatment period. Methods:A total of 164 patients were included in this prospective,open-label,head-to-head study.Serum levels of alanine transaminase(ALT),hepatitis B virus(HBV) DNA,and hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg) were measured at baseline, and at 12,24,and 52 weeks of treatment.

Objective:To evaluate the antiviral efficacy and safety of telbivudine(LDT) and entecavir(ETV) in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB) after IFN treatment failure.
Aims:This study aimed to compare virological response of entecavir monotherapy and de novo lamivudine plus adefovir combination therapy in chronic hepatitis B(CHB) patients with high viral load.
Objective:To investigate whether the prognostic simple model for evaluating patients with severe hepatitis based on platelet and hepatic function be of practical value.
