The grain size and elements analyses of 128 samples in high floodplain (JYa) and 285 samples in the foreside of first terrace (JYc) of Jing River in Jingyang combined with field investigation and historical records, the paleoflood changes of this two profiles from AD 960 to 2003 years were studied. The results showed, with clear changes and high resolution, the grain size of JYa and JYc mainly are coarse silts and very find sands which could able to indicate the changes of floods and rainfalls.JYa and JYc could be divided into 18 and 41 sedimentary layers, indicating 18 and 41 floods of different scales,18 and 41 years of increasing rainfall or rainstorm occurrence.
