Sweet potato based bioethanol (SPBE) is playing an increasingly important role in renewable energy in China.Previous studies have evaluated the energy efficiency and environmental performance of SPBE,but overlooked the influences of different planting modes.In this study,six scenarios related to sweet potato planting modes (with different fertilization mode and soil fertility) were selected to evaluate the lifecycle energy efficiency and environmental performance of the SPBE system.
