  Methane steam reforming is a high endothermic reaction for production of hydrogen.In order to improve heat supply to the reforming zone, using structured catalysts, the methane-steam reforming system combined with catalytic combustion through the reactor wall was constructed and investigated its reforming performance and heat conductivity.High exothermic heat energy from the combustion side accelerated reforming activity and hydrogen production, when catalytic combustion took place simultaneously.At the same time, electric energy supplied to reaction zone could be able to reduce considerably.It was also found that changes of combination condition and heat conductivity of partition wall have a profound effect on the system performance.
