Purpose:The analysis investigated the types of support provided by female caregivers and the challenges they face in taking care of their older family members.Methods:Data from the 2005 study on "Social Support for Older Persons:A Study of Family Roles" were used.A total of 237 female caregivers responded to the self-administered mail survey where they provided their own perspectives through a mix ofmultiple choice and open-ended questions.
