In this study, various modifications of REA nanoparticles have been prepared, by high-energy wet milling, in the presence of sodium dodecylsulphate and polyvinylpyrrolidone as stabilizers.The average particle size parameter for the individual samples was in the range 137-154 nm.The anticancer effects, of the milled samples were confirmed for multiple myeloma cell lines (RPMILR5, OPM1).In OPM1 cells, an increase of G2M phase, decrease of viable cells and an increase of proportion of affected cells were observed.Apoptotic (Annexin V+PI-) and late apoptotic (Annexin-V+PI+) cells were observed as well as a decrease of mitochondrial potential values.
