  While the benefits of further miniaturization of cantilevers for AFM have been known for well over a decade, it is only in the last few years that levers as short as 10 μm long and the AFMs capable of using them have become commercially available.This talk will review the benefits of small cantilevers for single and multi-frequency work and show some recent results using them.
