One-dimensional (1D) magnetic Fe3O4/P(M-DVB) peapod-like nanochains have been successfully synthesized by a polymer-assisted magnetic-field-induced assembly using Fe3O4 as building blocks and P(MAA-DVB) as the linker.During the formation, the Fe3O4 nanoparticles prepared by solvothermal reaction can be arranged with the direction of the external magnetic field and linked permanently in a line during P(MAA-DVB) coating by precipitation polymerization.
