Background Some element concentrations are altered during pregnancy with the requirements of growing fetus and changes in the motherss physiology.The aim of this study was to evaluate the distribution and to investigate the blood copper (Cu),zinc (Zn),calcium (Ca),magnesium(Mg),lead (Pb),and cadmium (Cd) concentrations in women of 12–20(group Ⅰ),21–28 (group Ⅱ),29–36 (group Ⅲ),and 37–42 (group Ⅳ) weeks of gestation and compare them with those in nonpregnant women.
