MicroRNAs manifest significant functions in neural stem cells proliferation and differentiation through post-transcriptional regulation of neurogenesis genes.Let-7b, as a member of the let-7 microRNA family, is expressed in mammalian brains and regulates neural stem cell proliferation and differentiation by targeting the nuclear receptor TLX (also called NR2E1), which is an essential regulator of neural stem cell self-renewal.However, whether let-7b has an important role in retinal progenitor cell (RPC) proliferation and differentiation remains exclusive.
