Aim Assessment of respiratory safety is one of the most important requirements for new chemical entity(ICH and Chinese Guidelines).The aim of the present study was to validate respiratory safety pharmacology model(The whole body plethysmography)in conscious rats using stimulant and depressant,to support its use in detection of drug-induced adverse effects on respiratory function in preclinical safety studies.
