杂交水稻具有根系发达、茎稈粗壮、分蘗力强、光能利用率高、穗大粒多、再生能力强等特点,有强大的优势和增产潛力。为了进一步扩大杂交水稻的繁殖系数,有利于大面积生产运用,从1976年四月起,对47个杂交水稻品种作了分蘗节、茎节(以下简称根、节)再生育秧试验,除早稻选择的品种缺乏代表性外,后季稻的七个中熟感溫品种都表现分蘗力强。长势旺盛,生育期缩短,杂种优势明显。试验表明:根、节再生育秧,是获得杂交良种的一个好方法,它能加速杂交水稻的繁殖,有利于大面积推广良种,提高增产幅度。
