XRCC1 Arg399Gln多态性与甲状腺癌无关(等位基因对比Arg vs.Gln:OR=1.11,95%CI=0.97~1.26);XRCC1 Arg194Trp多态性与甲状腺癌无关(等位基因对比Arg vs.Trp:OR=1.08,95%CI=0.74~1.58);XRCC1 Arg280His多态性与甲状腺癌无关(等位基因对比Arg vs.His:OR=1.03,95%CI=0.75~1.43)。
Objective To investigate the relationship between X-ray repair cross-complementary gene (XRCC1) and thyroid cancer susceptibility. Methods A case-control study on the association of XRCC1 polymorphisms with susceptibility to thyroid cancer was collected by searching the database and the results were analyzed by meta-analysis. The pooled odds ratio (OR) and its 95% confidence interval (95% confidence interval) were calculated by heterogeneity test using fixed effect model or random effect model, and sensitivity analysis and publication bias assessment were performed. Results A total of 9 articles (1 909 cases and 2 891 controls) were included in this study. XRCC1 Arg399Gln polymorphism was not associated with thyroid cancer (allele comparison Arg vs. Gln: OR = 1.11, 95% CI = 0.97-1.26); XRCC1 Arg194Trp polymorphism was not associated with thyroid cancer (allele comparison Arg vs. Trp : OR = 1.08, 95% CI = 0.74-1.58). There was no association between XRCC1 Arg280His polymorphism and thyroid cancer (allele comparison Arg vs. His: OR = 1.03, 95% CI = 0.75-1.43). In subgroup analysis, XRCC1 polymorphism was associated with susceptibility to thyroid cancer in the Americas (Arg399Gln allele OR = 0.70, 95% CI = 0.56-0.89; Arg194Trp allele OR = 1.49, 95% CI 1.02 ~ 2.17). The polymorphism of XRCC1 was associated with the susceptibility of thyroid cancer in Caucasian (recessive model: OR = 1.43, 95% CI = 1.10-2.00). Conclusion There is no significant correlation between the polymorphism of XRCC1 gene and the susceptibility of thyroid cancer. However, XRCC1 polymorphisms are associated with susceptibility to thyroid cancer in the Americas and Caucasians.
