The “International Science and Peace Week” national primary and secondary school (Jiangsu region) Golden Key science and technology competition has such a topic: a middle school student in Jiangsu Province in the study of learning, designed an experiment to verify the toxic cigarette. They put a life-filled golden mouse into a glass jar and filled it with cigarette smoke. A few minutes later, I saw the golden mouse start to restless. About five minutes later, Jin Sishu’s limbs became weak and their movements became apparently difficult; 10 minutes later, Jin Rat’s breathing stopped and young lives were mercilessly taken away by cigarettes. At this point, six cigarettes are shared. How many kinds of harmful substances can you tell when a cigarette is burned? The answer is that there are thousands of chemical substances that have been identified in the smoke produced by burning cigarettes, including more than 20 kinds of toxic substances. The tar, nicotine, carbon monoxide, benzopyrene, phenol, aldehydes, nitrosamines, benzidine, and the like are considered to be the most harmful to human health.
