甜瓜蒂,又名苦丁香,性味苦寒,有小毒,人胃经,具有吐风热痰涎、宿食之功效。自1970年以来,笔者曾遇3例误服偏方单味甜瓜蒂而致死者,报道如下。例1:杨××,女,40岁,集贤二队农民。因患精神分裂症,其家属自寻偏方,用甜瓜蒂粉20克口服,晨7时服下,2小时后自觉恶心,腹痛,继之频繁呕吐、腹泻。初吐胃内容物,便呈水样。之后呕吐鲜血约500毫升,当日20点死亡。例2:邵××,女,45岁,白泉乡西柳二队 Melon pedicle, also known as bitter cloves, is a bitter cold and has a small poison.
