戏曲艺术经过十年来的革新创造,有了很大的发展。1958年大跃进开始,我国三百多个戏曲剧种全面地进入一个新的革新阶段,那就是大力发展表现现代生活的艺术能力,积极地反映伟大的群众时代,反映工农兵的生活。这是一个伟大的艺术革命运动,它是我国伟大的文化革命的一部分,是这几年来戏曲战线上政治革命、思想革命的必然产物;是戏曲艺术贯彻党的总路线,在党的领导下,政治挂帅,和工农兵结合,实现戏曲艺术的大跃进的必然结果。戏曲艺术发展了新的表现能力之后,使它既能表现古代人民生活,又能表现现代人民生活,从而更好地体现了党的“百花齐放,推陈出新”的方针,使它能更多更好地为社会主义革命和建设服务,为工农兵服务,同时也为戏曲艺术的发展开辟了极为广阔的道路。但是戏曲艺术在表现新的生活、新的群众方面,毕竟还是一个崭新的课题。这几年来虽然已经取得了不少经验,做出了很大成绩,但是由于传统表演艺术和新生活之间存在着一定距离,有的剧种距离小一些,有的就大一些,因此在表演艺术和新生活之间、继承传统和革新创造之间存在着矛盾。如何进一步革新戏曲的表演艺术(包括唱工、做工、音乐伴奏和舞台美术),正确处理艺术和生活的矛盾,使戏曲在表现新生活上,形式和内容更和谐、更美好地结合起来,这就有待于戏曲界在实践中不断地总结经验,交流经验,进行研究探讨,借以集思广益,更快更好地来克服戏曲艺术往前发展中所碰到的问题。为此目的,我们在这里发表了马彦祥、红线女和洛汀三位同志的文章,作为这个问题的讨论的开始,希望戏曲工作者踊跃参加。 After a decade of reform and creation, opera art has greatly developed.
