实用主义教育思想給我國教育界帶來的惡毒影响是既普遍又深厚的。实用主义教育思想与共產主义教育思想是針鋒相对的。如果在我們今天的教育工作中还没有扫清实用主义教育思想的影响,那么培养社会主义社会積極的建設者与保衛者的任务就不能圓滿实現。因此,清算与根除实用主义教育思想的影响,是擺在我們教育工作者面前的一个嚴重的政治任务。本文所要談的既不是实用主义哲学階級性的分析,也不是实用主义教育理論的批判,我只打算揭露实用主义教育思想給予我國教育界的嚴重毒害。为了便於說明問題,我先把杜威实用主义教育学的主要論点予以概括的說明。杜威打着伪科学的旗帜,把反动的生物学說应用到屬於社会現象的教育上
The vicious influence brought by our pragmatism education to our country’s education circles is both universal and profound. The pragmatism education idea and communist education thought are diametrically opposed. If the pragmatist educational thinking has not been cleared up in our education today, the task of cultivating active builders and defenders in socialist society can not be fulfilled satisfactorily. Therefore, the effect of liquidation and eradication on pragmatist education is a serious political task for our educators. What this article intends to discuss is neither the analysis of the pragmatic philosophical class nor the criticism of the pragmatic education theory. I only intend to expose the serious poisoning of our educational circles by the pragmatic education. In order to illustrate the problem, let me first outline the main arguments of Dewey’s pragmatic pedagogy. Dewey on the banner of pseudo-science, the reactionary biological theory is applied to belong to the social phenomenon of education
