植物雌激素是植物中一类结构与功效类似于动物雌激素的非甾体类化合物,近年研究发现,植物雌激素对多发性硬化(MS)、阿尔茨海默病(AD)、帕金森病(PD)等疾病有较好防治作用,其机制是通过抑制神经免疫炎症、抗氧化应激、抗细胞凋亡、保护线粒体及促进神经营养因子分泌等,从而减缓MS、AD和PD神经细胞损伤并改善相应的临床症状。植物雌激素作为雌激素的替代药物应用于临床日益受到重视。
