Min Faude’s translation as a whole is superb, and his English attainments are well-proportioned to the Chinese writings of this world literature. However, Minford changed some of the clips. It is noteworthy that these snippets contain sexual content. The original text stimulates readers’ sexual associations through out-of-chord sounds, but Min Ford makes these scenes portraits more vivid, straightforward and more stimulative for sexual association. This article will use a text-intensive approach to the last forty of his transla- tions to compare the differences between him and different versions of the original and other translated versions. Minford’s translational deviations can be attributed to problems of the original text, ignorance of the source text, and faith in the translation of the former translator, Hawthorne and the existence. Deviations in the sprouting of associative segments can be categorized as unfaithful to the original. This article will analyze the impact that this will have on readers and will also discuss Min Ford’s possible intentions behind these deviations.
