本文在跨国公司对外直接投资理论基础上,结合新经济地理学理论与战略管理理论,就跨国公司海外R&D投资集聚与创新构建了理论框架,揭示了海外R&D集聚与创新的关系,并采用2001-2006年跨国公司在京R&D技术合同交易数据进行了实证分析。研究表明,跨国公司海外R&D集聚与创新受到跨国公司组织控制、组织规模与组织创新的显著影响,同时受范围经济、空间联系等新经济地理学因素的积极影响,但是受累积循环因果关系影响则较弱。另外,根据R&D集聚与领先大学的关系所作研究表明(利用GIS系统),在京跨国公司R&D机构的确形成了以高校和科研院所为核心的密集布局,这对R&D机构能力的提升与地区技术创新体系的形成具有重要意义。为此,文章最后提出了首都地区发展本地化技术创新体系的政策建议。
