“五四”时期的译介热潮中,外国诗歌的译介为中国新诗冲破旧桎梏以及新诗文体建设提供了可资借鉴的蓝本。探讨新诗的发生,离不开作为现代文学的物质载体之一——报刊。报刊作为公共空间,或说一个旨在建设现代性格局的场域,充斥着众声喧哗般的复调结构,呈现出来这样一种现代化的情景:这其中当然有国家、民族、政治的一极,也有作者、译者、编辑、出版机构和读者的对话关系。各种异质的声音不仅在其中形成对话,而且背后隐含着文化力量的争辩、冲突以及时代的选择。
