阅读是学生学习知识的基础,若学生在阅读上发生困难,则会严重影响学习的效果。“相互教学法”的目的则在于提高学生的阅读能力,可以帮助学生理解与记忆。“相互教学法”强调师生对话互动,进而发展至学生彼此提供支持,轮流担任教学者的角色,运用相互教学的四个策略:预测、发问、摘要、澄清,进行讨论与了解文章的意义,最终获得主动监控阅读的技巧,增进后设认知的能力。总而言之,“相互教学法”是由教师先示范此四种策略,在教学中透过师生对话的历程,逐步将理解文章的责任转移至学生身上,教师扮演辅导以及提供回馈的角色,让学生独立学习。
