The title is “Modern Development of Plant Physiology,” and is chaired by Professor Kenneth V. Thimann, Harvard University. During the meeting, we all felt the need for a regular organization that proposed the establishment of the Indian Society of Plant Physiology. January 24, 1958 at the University of Allahabad held a meeting of the Indian Society of Plant Physiology.
