砧木和接穗的性别对于雌雄异株树木嫁接苗的成活率和生长有重要作用。因此,我们对山杨、杨树、沙棘嫁接苗的生长进行了观察。像别的乔木树种一样,山杨也有各种不同的类型,这些类型不仅形态特征各异、而且其重要的林学特性:速生性、抗腐性、材质等也有所区别。在许多著作中都指出,苏联森林存有稳定抗腐性的山杨速生类型。同时,根据某些资料也可以经常看到该种山杨在2-5年生时,腐朽的感染度可达100%。因此,为了在最短时期内,使珍贵类型能大量繁殖,山杨营养繁殖的研究就有很大的意义。已经查明,山杨的腐朽经过根系到达树干不再扩展。因而在低价值的山杨幼林中,用具有良好遗传性的接穗,在已形成根系的小树上进行嫁接,可以快速地培养高生产力的林分。山杨是雌雄异株树种。众所周知,雄株和雌株在营林价值方面有极为重要的区别。所以查明接穗和砧木的性别同嫁接苗成活率和生长
