卡塔古尼亚大坝为高49 m的混凝土重力坝,依靠后张预应力钢索为其提供必须的结构稳定性能,以抵御水库蓄水荷载的作用。其设计曾被认为是处于领先水平,因为在工程施工时,已是世界上最高的后张预应力坝,设计人员采用了50 a寿命期的锚固装置。据估计,与传统的重力坝相比,使用后张法可以节约20%的原材料。
The Catagian Dam, a 49-m-high concrete gravity dam, relies on post-tensioned prestressing cables to provide it with the necessary structural stability to withstand the reservoir water load. Its design was considered to be at the leading level as it was the tallest post-tensioned prestress dam in the world during construction and designers used anchors of 50-year life. It is estimated that the use of post-tensioning methods can save up to 20% of raw materials compared to traditional gravity dams.
