This study reports the secretion of angiotensin-I (AT-I) and aldosterone (Aldo) secreted by propranolol-antagonistic furosemide in six normal healthy subjects. The results showed that the normal AT-I, Aldo by the position - furosemide after the reaction was significantly (P <0.01 ~ 0.001). After adding propranolol, AT-I in 120 minutes was significantly higher than the basal value (P <0.05), but there was no statistic significance in other phases. Indicating partial inhibition of the AT-I on the opposite - furosemide stimulation reaction; Aldo each phase value did not rise compared with the baseline values, but at 120 points and 135 points two phase suppression was significantly lower than the excitation day, Proonel completely inhibits Aldo’s normal response to challenge testing. The results suggest that β-adrenergic is involved in the regulation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone (RAA) axis.
