Objective To investigate the effect of intra-operative pain in male patients treated with live video of bladder softcopy. Methods A total of 110 male patients who met the inclusion criteria were enrolled in our hospital undergoing diagnostic or monitoring cystoscopy and were randomly divided into two groups: A group of patients undergoing microscopic examination during the microscopic examination in real time, B group Inspection process does not look at the video microscopy, 55 patients in each group, are operated by the same doctor. The two groups of patients were accompanied by a doctor’s explanation during the video examination of the bladder before and during real-time operation. Immediately after microscopy, intraoperative pain was recorded on the Visual Analog Pain Scale (VAS) scale (0-10) and respiratory rate and pulse rate were recorded. Results The score of pain in male patients in group A was lower than that in group B, and the difference was statistically significant (1.29 ± 1.20 vs 3.36 ± 2.46, P <0.001). There was no significant difference in respiratory rate and pulse rate between the two groups after operation. Conclusions The video of the bladder soft-lensoscopy in real time and the doctor’s explanation can reduce the pain of the male patient.
