纳米技术是20世纪80年代中后期才出现的新名词,从它诞生起就受到各国研究人员的广泛关注,并迅速成为一门崭新的技术。到了90年代中期,国外对于纳米技术的研究已经渐渐步入成熟期。“纳米”是英文namometer的译名,是一种度量单位,用符号nm表示,1纳米等于1毫微米,大约只有45个原子串起来那么长。纳米结构通常是指尺寸在100纳米以下的微小结构,因此,纳米技术其实就是一种用单个原子、分子组成物质的技术,这意味着人们可以生产出极纯的材料和丰富多彩的新产品。
Nanotechnology was a new term emerging in the late 1980s. Since its birth, nanotechnology has drawn the attention of researchers all over the world and quickly becomes a brand new technology. By the mid-90s, foreign research on nanotechnology has gradually matured. “Nano ” is the English translation of namometer, is a unit of measurement, the symbol nm, 1 nanometer is equal to 1 nm, only about 45 atoms string together so long. Nanostructures are usually tiny structures below 100 nanometers. So nanotechnology is actually a technology that uses a single atom or molecule to make matter, which means that people can produce extremely pure materials and colorful new products.
