作者系南开大学历史研究所教授。该书以严肃明快的笔调记述了16世纪前期葡萄牙人东来,从走私贸易开始到租地入居澳门,最后以武力强占澳门的这一段历史。这其中始终贯穿一条主线——澳门是中国领土,主权归属中国。书中也记述了澳门作为中国最早开埠地,对中西文化交流起到一定作用。书中附录了有关大事记摘要和《中华人民共和国澳门特别行政区基本法》。 The author is a professor at the Institute of History, Nankai University. The book, in a frank and clever manner, chronicles the history of the 16th-century Portuguese East, from the beginning of the smuggling trade to the expropriation of land to settle in Macao and finally the imposition of Macao by force. This has always run through one main line - that is, Macau is China’s territory and its sovereignty belongs to China. The book also records that Macao, as the earliest signpost of China, has played a role in the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures. The book contains a summary of the memorabilia and the “Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.”
