热作模具钢作为金属热加工成形工具,而成为一种特殊钢种。广泛应用于加工各类金属材料的压铸模、挤压模,热压模,锻压模等。由于模具在工作中受到热应力和机械应力的反复作用,因而对模具材料的一些性能提出很高的要求。生产实践证实,下述的基本性能和使用性能在室温至800℃范围内,对模具钢具有非常重要的意义: 基本性能——硬度(屈服强度);抗回火稳定性;延展性和韧性;抗氧化性。使用性能——抗热疲劳性能;抗热振性;耐磨性;对液态金属的侵蚀抗力。
