“凡立国都,非于大山之下,必于广川之上,高毋近旱而水用足,下毋近水而沟防省”。——《管子》古人的智慧向来不单单存在于高等学府之中,亦不仅在名家著作的经典中才能觅得芳踪。它无所不在,它静默于建筑物天长地久的守候,也流转于百姓细水长流的生活之中。时至今日,再回首看那些旧时遗留下来的设施,除却赞叹古人之精妙外,更需思索其在当下的意义。

It is omnipresent, it is quiet in the permanent building waiting, but also flow in the steady flow of people’s life. Today, looking back at the facilities left over from the old days, we should not only consider the exquisiteness of the ancients but also think about their current significance.
