本文利用国家卫计委的农民工调查数据,研究了用工单位提供医疗保险对农民工工资的影响。我们使用了新近发展的倾向得分匹配法(Propensity Score Matching)进行实证检验。结果发现,用工单位将医疗保险的成本转嫁由农民工个人承担,降低了农民工的工资水平,农民工在劳动力市场中存在“工资—福利折中”效应。因此,应该完善农民工的医疗保障制度,提高农民工的工资水平,以缩小城乡收入差距。
Based on the survey data of migrant workers from the State Health Planning Commission, this paper studies the impact of employing medical insurance on the wage of migrant workers. We used the newly developed Propensity Score Matching for empirical testing. The results showed that the unit cost of medical insurance will be transferred to the individual migrant workers to reduce the wage level of migrant workers, migrant workers in the labor market there is “wage-benefit compromise ” effect. Therefore, we should improve the medical security system for migrant workers and raise the wage level of migrant workers so as to narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas.
