为检阅科学研究成果和交流生产经验,北京市蔬菜学会于1964年4月13—15日举行了第一届学术年会。出席会议的有科研、院校、业务领导、农场及公社等单位的代表和来宾共150余人。这次年会共收到论文30篇,宣读了17篇。 有关栽培方面的论文有13篇,其中《五年来京郊大白菜生产技术总结》的报告中,从充分的调查数据论述了北京地区大白菜的适宜品种、整地、播种适期、合理密植、灌溉、施肥及病虫防治的基本经验,同时指出了京郊大白菜生产中存在的问题。《大白菜田间整齐度与产量的关系》一文中指出:大白菜植株生长整齐与否对产量有很大影响,目前生产上大白菜田间整齐度差异悬殊,大株满心菜只占24.9-55.3%,如何使半数以上的菜长好,增产潜力还很大。《大白菜经济施肥》的报告中,论述了大白菜叶球形成与营养水平的密切关系,指出增施氮肥是促进大白菜营养器官发育的重要因素,并以大量的数据指出:苗期、莲座期、结球始期、结球中期四个不同发育阶段施肥对白菜增产效果有显著差异,其肥效最高增产幅度最大的是结球始期,还指出施肥的高效期和外界气温等条件有一定关系。此外,《1963年春季甘兰早期抽苔调查小结》报告中指出:北京地区1963年甘兰早期抽苔普遍发生,是因为苗期光照充足、温度高、幼苗较往年生长快,而定
