Located in the Chaddaman Mine, 576 km north of Montreal, Quebec, in the Château de Gadda region, it suffered major fire damage decades ago. In the 1950s, the mine had produced 617,400 tons of gold ore with a grade of 7.52 g/t. The deposit has 3.15 million tons of proven and potential reserves, containing 8.2 grams of gold per ton and 0.3% of copper.
