由铁道部科技局、机务局、工业总局主持的前进型蒸汽机车系统改造及与英国蒸汽机车设计有限公司代表团的技术座谈会,于1985年6月6日～13日在大同机车工厂召开。会议听取了大同机车工厂对前进型蒸汽机车中改方案及技术引进方案的汇报。与会代表认为这个方案在技术上是现实的,对改善机车性能、提高运输能力、节约燃料有重大意义。
