The only mini helicopter robots seen in spy films in the past are about to enter the real life. Japan’s Seiko Epson is developing a mini robot that looks similar to a helicopter and can perform rescue monitoring and other tasks. The mini robot, 136 mm in diameter and 85 mm high, weighs just 12.3 grams and weighs only 12.3 grams. It flies on a computer-programmed route and uses Bluetooth wireless technology. It is equipped with a 32-bit microcontroller, two ultra-thin ultrasonic motors and a CMOS digital camera that delivers blurry images, and a weigh-in weight of less than 0.1 grams, the world’s lightest and smallest subminiature gyro sensor.
