将断层封闭性分为侧向封闭性和垂向封闭性两部分，利用断层两盘砂泥对接概率模拟的方法研究断层的侧向封闭程度，利用断面压力计算法研究断层垂向封闭程度；将两个分析结果组合判断断层的综合封闭能力。该研究可将同一条断层在三维空间上各不同位置处的封闭能力较客观地反映出来，具半定量特点。汤原断陷的断层封闭性实际分析结果正确，证明该方法可信。
The fault sealing is divided into two parts: lateral confinement and vertical sealing. The lateral confinement of the fault is studied by the method of simulating the joint probability of sand and mud in the fault. The vertical sealing degree of the fault is studied by the section pressure calculation method. The combination of the two analyzes determines the comprehensive closure of the fault. This study can objectively reflect the confinement ability of the same fault in different places in three-dimensional space, with semi-quantitative characteristics. The results of the actual fault sealing analysis in Tangyuan Fault Depression are correct, which proves that the method is credible.
