对胶南、胶县、文登、青岛以及苏州五个地区的白土作了酸度、离子交換量、潤湿热与吸附性能的研究.又对其中的青岛白土作了X射线分析、电子显微鏡照象与吸附性能改善等工作。比较了青島白土与西德产品Tonsil Optimum FF的吸附性能。对五处白土做了矿物鉴定。如脫水曲线、差热曲线等。发现文登与苏州白土属高岭土矿物,青岛、胶县与胶南白土属濛脫土矿物. 吸附性能改善后的青岛白土,于水溶液中吸附次甲基蓝,其结果比Tonsil Optimum FF白土高出10%左右。
