果园传统的清耕管理方式劳动强度大,土壤保水、保肥能力低,肥料投入高,而且造成冬春季节土壤裸露,易发生风沙扬尘。果园自然生草覆盖技术能够增加土壤有机质含量,改善土壤理化性质;减少土壤水分蒸发,提高果园蓄水保墒及抗旱能力;有利于天敌繁育,减少农药用量;提高大桃品质;省工、省力,降低成本,提高效益;具有良好的景观效应,减少环境污染,抑制大气扬尘。通过对北京平谷区桃园自然生草覆盖技术的调查,结果表明:果园自然生草覆盖后能够增加土壤有机质含量,增加幅度为10.40%~38.10%;能够提高大桃产量与品质,单果质量提高2.80%~5.40%,可溶性固形物增加6.80%~18.80%。
