1971届毕业生是文革期间首次被留在北京分配工作而没有被安排下乡插队的,也是第一年开始恢复高中教育的。那时我们差不多十六、七岁,一个班除少数几个人被安排上高中外其余大部分都被分配到工厂、商业等基层单位工作。我当时被分配到乐器行的修理部上班,学习管乐器的维修。在那时全国也没有几个专业卖乐器的琴行,修理乐器的人就更少了。现在的人们想象不到当时修理乐器的情景:
The 1971 graduates were the first to be assigned to work in Beijing during the Cultural Revolution and were not scheduled to queue up for work in the countryside.
