Subprime mortgage crisis started in the United States, under the help of globalization, quickly evolved into a global financial crisis. In this crisis, hardly any country or region can stand aloof from it and the EU has not been spared. Objectively speaking, due to the extraordinary economic situation and development potential of the EU itself, it has suffered extraordinary losses during the crisis and the process of recovery has become extremely difficult. These factors will inevitably affect the further development of European integration and will also affect the EU’s ability to construct the international pattern in the future. Specifically, the financial crisis has exerted varying degrees of influence on the dynamic foundation, internal solidarity and external environment of the European integration, as well as at different levels such as the international status and influence of the EU as the world’s pole, making the EU itself a not-so-smooth one The road is even more thorny, adding many variables to the prospects of European integration.
