Following the successful launch of a locally manufactured high-resolution remote sensing satellite - the country's third launch in 2003, India completed all its 2003 satellite launch missions. It is like reminding the world that China is not the only country in Asia that can conquer outer space. China successfully put manned spacecraft in space on October 15, arousing the shock of India and other Asian countries. The satellite, named Resource Satellite No. 1 (IRS-96), was orbited on 817 kilometers of Earth on October 17, 2003, from Andhra Pradesh Lahurgoda Space Center launched. This is also the 8th successful launch of the “Polar” Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) in the country. The satellite is mainly used in agriculture, including the prediction and control of disastrous weather. The satellite weighs 1,360 kg and costs 47 million U.S. dollars, making it one of the most advanced and powerful of the eight remote sensing satellites launched by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). At the same time it is also intended to replace the old-style remote transmission
